Meatballs for Spaghetti

These meatballs are out of this world even without all the fat and calories of other meatballs. Serve them with your favorite spaghetti sauce, whole wheat spaghetti noodles, and a side salad for a more nutritious meal. Enjoy!


Meatballs for Spaghetti

Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup Italian style bread crumbs
2 tbsp reduced fat Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp dried sage
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Roll ground beef or turkey mixture into 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Turn meatballs on other side and bake for an additional 10 minutes. When cooked, place meatballs in a medium pot with your favorite spaghetti sauce. Simmer on low for 20 minutes, covered.
