Pizza or Marinara Sauce

Here is a yummy pizza or marinara sauce that counts as a third of your green to complete your lean and green meal if you are eating cauliflower pizza or cauliflower pizza crust. According to Nutrition Support, you can use 1/4 cup canned tomato puree as a Green Option (on occasion). It would be considered a Higher Carbohydrate Green option. Be aware that these types of products tend to be higher in sodium so please use sparingly on plan. The tomato puree I used didn't have as much sodium which was Walmart's generic brand. It only had 15 mg of sodium, 5 g of carbs, 25 Calories and 0 g of fat per 1/4 cup.  Enjoy!

When you say "tomato puree", I assume you mean tomato sauce?

ut's actually called tomato puree. It is in the same section as the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Make sure the brand you get is less than 5 g of carbs per 1/4 cup. I aso use a 1/2 cup canned diced Italian tomatoes and blend it. Again, make sure it is than 5 g of carbs per 1/2 cup.

If you use the diced Italian tomatoes, then you don't need the splenda and spices. Just blend the tomatoes.
