Spiced Honey Pretzels

It looks like a lot of people are getting ready for the Super Bowl and posting delicious looking recipes so here is my contribution. I got this recipe from the Taste of Home Cook Book Comfort Food Diet. If you haven't gotten that cook book yet, I would definitely recommend it. Who doesn't like comfort food especially if it is less in calories unlike the traditional comfort foods that I grew up with and that still tastes good! You can count me in anytime. This recipe satisfies your taste buds for sweet, salty, and spicy. It has all the flavors in it for whatever you are in the mood for. The recipe calls for pretzels sticks but I didn't have any so I used regular mini pretzels which worked just as well. A crunchy goodness that I will carry around as a snack when I have the munchies.  

Spiced Honey Pretzels
Taste of Home Comfort Food Diet Cookbook

4 cups thin pretzel sticks
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder

Line a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with foil; coat the foil with cooking spray. Place pretzels in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, combine the honey, butter, onion powder and chili powder. Pour over pretzels; toss to coat evenly. Spread into prepared pan.
Bake at 350° for 8 minutes, stirring once. Cool on a wire rack, stirring gently several times to separate.
