Chili-Spiced Thick Oven Fries

These fries are extremely delicious. They have so much bold and spicy flavor. I think I have found my favorite recipe for fries from Weight Watchers. If you would like to try something new that includes these fries, head over to Heather's blog at  The WW Chick. She is a Weight Watchers leader based out of Cincinnati, Ohio who lost 80 pounds and maintained it over the years! She is such an inspiration! Heather has a link to a video on her blog demonstrating how to make chili cheese fries on You Tube. I bet you thought you could never eat chili cheese fries on Weight Watchers, but you can! Check out her blog for the link and other recipe ideas!

Chili-Spiced Thick Oven "Fries"
Weight Watchers Comfort Classics

3 large (8oz) russet potatoes, scrubbed
2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (I added this)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat the oven to 450. Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray.
Halve the potatoes and cut each piece lengthwise into quarters; place on the baking sheet. Drizzle with the oil and toss to coat. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer and bake until the bottoms are deep golden and crisp, about 15 minutes. Turn the potatoes onto the opposite cut side and bake until crisp, 10-15 minutes longer.
Meanwhile, combine the sugar, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add the fries and toss to coat.

Also, I wanted to share with you guys what I had for breakfast today, thanks to Christa's blog Our New Weigh of Life. Check out her blog if you haven't already done so. Christa keeps track of everything she eats through out the day and posts them on her blog. It is a great way to get some ideas on what you can eat. She has been eating these Jimmy Dean turkey sausage muffins that look so good so I had to try them.

I didn't even realize they existed. They are a great alternative to the ones they sell at McDonalds and they are perfect if you are on the run in the morning. They are 5 points each, but I must say, they are very filling, satisfying and delicious.

Another thing I wanted to share with you guys is this cute tid bit to put you in the Halloween spirit. I found it on a Weight Watchers board and it was too cute! I thought it was perfect for those on Weight Watchers. Simply hilarious!

In the spirit of Halloween...
