Sassy's Beef and Broccoli

This turned out to be a delicious recipe. I have tried numerous beef and broccoli recipes and I always keep coming back to this one. This recipe is definitely a keeper. It is very easy to make and only takes 10 minutes to marinate, but I usually marinate for an hour. I serve it with white or brown rice. You can always add more veggies like I did. I also added baby carrots, red and yellow peppers. Yum-Yum!

Sassy's Beef and Broccoli

1 lb steak, cut into thin slices
1/2 cup water, divided
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon cornstarch
cooking spray
1 bunch broccoli, cut up
1 large onion, chopped

Marinate steak in mixture of 1/2 of Water, Soy Sauce, Sugar, Vinegar, Garlic, Ginger and Cornstarch.
(At least 10 Minutes). Drain well, reserving marinade. Spray a wok or skillet with cooking spray. Add steak and brown. Add broccoli and onion. Cook at medium-high heat, stirring for 1 minutes. Add remaining Water (1/4 cup), cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until Broccoli is tender-crisp. Add marinade and cook until sauce is hot and thick.
